Friday at 7 Am I had to get up because I needed about 3 hours to get to the airport. After everything was packed and had cleaned my room I walked to the nearest tube station and went to Liverpool street. From here I took a bus which brought me to Stansted. I arrived at the airport around 10:50. I checked in and went through the security gates, unfortunately I had a jar of jam in my bag. I didn’t know it contained some liquid so I couldn’t bring it with me. Everything else went really good, I thought it would be more difficult but luckily it wasn’t! I had to wait for an hour to see where I had to go to.
When I walked to my gate, I first had to take a kind of train to the gate, because the airport is so big it wasn’t really possible to walk. My flight was really good, I could sit at the window so I could see everything what was happening.
When I arrived my father and mother where waiting for me. I was really happy to see them! My mother was really happy too, she even started to cry. We went home and first visited my grandpa and grandma. I told them everything a had experienced and showed them some pictures. Daantje and Joep my two cats also missed me, when I walked in they were already waiting for me so I gave them a big hug.
Yesterday I had two gigs so I was really busy otherwise I would have updated my blog yesterday. These two weeks were really amazing! It was an experience which I will never forget, and I’ve learned a lot, not only for my English but also to be on my own and how to talk to people it was just amazing! I hope that the other students also have the same thoughts about their own internship when they are back home.
Cheers!
